What I Ate Wednesday{Oodles of Noodles}

Happy hump day!! I hope this week has been treating you well so far. I certainly cannot complain here! I am excited for it to end but only because we have a lot of fun stuff to look forward to this weekend. This weekend is when we will do our annual Christmas lights tour. That sounds all official but we just load up into the car and drive around town trying to find the best Christmas lights. Depending on the weather, we usually stop for hot cocoa and coffee or frozen yogurt. Yep, you can do that in Texas!!

As much fun as that sounds, for now we will just focus on what I have been eating lately. Lately, being yesterday. :-)

7:00am: The morning started slightly later than usual because my kids decided to sleep in for the first time in their lives. As much as I loved the extra sleep, it meant I was rushing to get the kids fed and dressed for school in just 45 minutes. Coffee was consumed but I wasn’t able to sit on the couch, watching the news and enjoying it.

8:30am: Once my kids were off to school and I got the beds made and house picked up, I decided it was time for breakfast.

That is toast with peanut butter and marshmallow fluff. Yes, I did and it was GOOD!!! I saw someone I follow on Instagram post this the other day and I have been dying to try it. I highly recommend it! I also added a banana for good measure.

9:00am- With fuel in my body, I decided to hit up my workout room. I wasn’t feeling cardio today so I busted out a full body workout(it was random) and added in some extra booty busting moves as well. I have decided I will perk my booty up in 2014 so I am starting on it now. I want a bubble….even if it is a tiny one!! I am happy to say that as of Tuesday night, my butt is SORE!!

11:00am- I had a very early lunch but I had some errands to run and I didn’t want to risk getting hungry while I was out. I scarfed down this homemade skinny chow mein that I made for dinner last night. It was pretty tasty but if I’m being honest, it wasn’t quite the same as the Panda Express Chow Mein. Oh well, it was a whole lot healthier!!

1:00pm- Kazoozles. Have you heard of them? If you haven’t it is probably a good thing. They are really good and really addicting. Anytime I can find a package, I make sure to buy them. And eat them. Right then. Yeah, there was no hope for this little package of candy.

3:30pm- After I picked my kids up from school, we enjoyed a small snack together. I had 1/4 of an apple with a slice of mozzarella cheese. Yum!!

5:30pm- Dinner was pulled together after browsing the internet for recipe ideas. I knew I was going to make something with smoked sausage, I was just unsure of what. I found a Martha Stewart recipe and went with that. I did make a couple changes to it, mostly with the meat. Her recipe called for a different type of sausage but I am a believer in using what you have. Regardless, it turned out to be incredible!!!  Normally, I wouldn’t plan two pasta dishes in my day but hey, it happens and I’m not complaining!! I cannot wait to eat leftovers for lunch today.

8:30pm- Finally, while typing up this blog post and watching a recorded episode of my beloved, Bethenny I am also sipping on a cup of my favorite tea, Candy Cane Lane. It is perfect for this time of year. Well, any time of year!!

I haven’t decided just yet but there may be a Candy Cane Joe Joe(or two) in my future as well. :-)
